Bandh call in Malkangiri of Odisha disrupts normal life:

Malkangiri: May 11: Bandh call given by District Congress Committee and Town Congress Committee of Malkangiri is still continuing for second consecutive day and normal life in the town looks disrupted. All trading and business establishments did not open today even in support of the bandh. Almost there is no vehicular movement in the city. Congress leaders under the leadership of former MP Pradip Majhi staged dharna at Subash Bose Square in the town demanding immediate steps to ensure uninterrupted electricity and water supply.

Talking to media persons, Majhi said the bandh has entered the second day with the wholehearted support of the people of Malkangiri town. MV-79, Padia and Kalimela areas of the district also witnessed complete bandh. All government offices and business establishments remained closed, said Majhi. For second day also, the bandh remained peaceful by and large with no violence reported from any part of the district.
