Delang, Mar 8: Today morning a group scuffle took place over a minor issue at Ghoradia bazaar and nearby places here following which four platoons of police force have been deployed by the Puri district administration in Delang to maintain law and order situation. shops at the bazaar were ransacked during the group clash. To disperse the mob, the police officials present at the spot fired teargas shells. Puri Collector, SP, Sub-collector, four Tehsildars and SDPO also reached the spot to pacify the situation.
Notably, the minor issue is said to be an altercation over an incident that had happened on Mar 6 when a youth had stamped on another youth of neighbouring village. Also, during the clash, the irate mob torched a poultry farmhouse which made the district administration to forcibly sent a fire brigade unit to douse the flame.
