Seniors citizens, police meet to discuss problems in Cuttack

Bhubaneswar, April 7: Commissionerate Police Wednesday organized a meeting between the senior citizens of Cuttack and the Police to discuss the safety and security of the elderly persons.

Ranging from traffic problems to police patrolling, security, benefits from ID card systems like amenities during travelling by bus, train. Police requirement during special occasions of emergency and their applicability to the senior citizens were discussed.

The conditions of such issues in present scenario and the improvement in any laxness were also discussed.

Police Commissioner YB Khurania said the security and protection of the senior citizens is the foremost duty of the police. He dealt with the several welfare initiatives taken by the police for the security of the seniors.

He promised the gathering to forward their suggestions to different departments of the government.

MLAs Pravat Biswal and Debasish Samantaray and DCPs of both Cuttack Sanjeev Arora, Bhubaneswar Satyabrata Bhoi along with all DCPs, ACPs, and In-charges were also present at the meeting.

Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora said the ID card yojanas for the seniors is being made more effective by the Government and the police. He urged the seniors to report any problematic issues to their nodal officer of the local police stations.
