The situation in Afghanistan that has been continuing in the country for over a month seems to have no end. Amidst this upset, schools and colleges across the country has opened up. Though the Taliban have allowed girls to study, but have put heavy restrictions on them.

According to reports, the Taliban has divided the classrooms into two halves with curtains, for the boys to sit on one side, and the other for women. Other than this, many other rules have been imposed on girls including:

  • Girls going to college or university have to mandatorily wear a Niqab.
  • Mandatory Burqa for all women students in private universities
  • Girls have to cover their faces for most of the time.

Earlier, before the Taliban rule, Afghanistan witnessed lesser women wearing a niqab or a burqa across the country. But now, Burqa & Niqabs for women have been made mandatory for women across the country.

On the other hand, a country where the number of female teachers are very less, the Taliban has made it mandatory that only female teachers will have to teach female students. Universities and colleges are now in a hurry of appointing Female teachers across the country. In the meanwhile, senior male teachers can teach the female students, but a thorough background check is also required, says Taliban.
