Seven women from Odisha to grace 17th Lok Sabha

Bhubaneswar: May 24:  BJD has won in 12 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha. It had nominated 7 women candidates and five of them have won the election. The winning candidates are Pramila Bisoi from Aska, Manjulata Mandal from Bhadrak, Rajashree Mallick from Jagatsinghpur, Sarmistha Sethi from Jajpur and Chandrani Murmu from Keonjhar

BJD candidate Bhartruhari Mahtab won the election from Cuttack Lok Sabha seat, Chandra Sekhar Sahu from Berhampur Lok Sabha seat, Mahesh Sahoo  from Dhenkanal , Anubhav Mohanty from Kendrapara, Ramesh Chandra Majhi  from Nabarangpur, Achyutananda Samanta  from Kandhamal and Pinaki Mishra from Puri.

BJP has won eight Lok Sabha seats. Women candidate Sangita Kumari Singh Deo won from Bolangir and Aparajita Sarangi from Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat in BJP ticket. Pratap Chandra Sarangi won from Balasore, Suresh Pujari from Bargarh, Basanta Kumar Panda from Kalahandi, Bishweswar Tudu from Mayurbhanj, Nitesh Ganga Dev from Sambalpur and Juel Oram from Sundergarh Lok Sabha Constituency.

Congress’s Saptagiri Ulaka won from Koaraput Lok Sabha Constituency.
