Bhubaneswar, Dec 16: Reacting to the vicious demands of the Student Congress of Odisha for which says the resignation of Anant Narayan Jena from the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor post as it’s alleged that the Mayor has something to do with the sex tape which has gone viral on social networking sites, outraged Jena last evening lodged an FIR against the Chhatra Congress president, Itish Pradhan and niankhunta.com proprietor, Pradeep Pandey at the Capital police station. To a surprise to everyone, yesterday the Mayor staged a dharna in front of the Capital police station thus demanding immediate arrest of the two. After assurances were given to him that the required action with be initiated against the said two, Jena withdrew his dharna. Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi has stated that necessary investigations are going on the FIR filed by Jena.
Notably The three and half minute video uploaded in the social networking site shows three persons in an intimate moment with one among them bearing close resemblance with Jena. A woman is also seen in the video. The video is purportedly taken in a mobile phone. To this, the Student Congress demanded the resignation of Ananta Narayan Jena, the mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). The student leader also alleged Jena’s involvement in the death of an engineering student.
Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress leader, Sasmita Behera filed FIR against Jena at the Capital police station. She stated that Jena must resign from his post thus demanding him to be taken into custody. Bhubaneswar district BJP president, Harekrushna Khuntia stated at a press meet that the party would be staging demonstrations before the Commissionerate Police headquarters on Friday if Jena does not resign by Thursday night.
