Salipur: Cuttack Police catch looters in thrilling movie-style chase in Odisha. This was seen in a recent video that has gone viral now. The incident took place near the Badapola in Kundi area under Mahanga Police Station limits in Cuttack district.
According to reports, three miscreants came on a bike and attempted to loot two youths of a finance company at gunpoint on the road near the Kothapada Bridge on the Salipur-Chhatia road under Jaipur Police Outpost limits.
Coincidentally, the police arrived at the scene and first managed to nab one of the looters. Meanwhile, the two other looters tried to flee from the scene. They ran to a nearby paddy field to get rid of Police. Yet, Police did not want to leave and chased them.
A movie-like scene was witnessed in live as Policemen were chasing the looters like we often see in films. Finally, police caught the other two looters with the help of locals.
The police have seized a bike along with a gun, a knife and a cleaver from the three looters. The three looters will be forwarded to the court today.
Police have found that cases of snatching have been registered against these culprits. Mahanga police are investigating whether earlier cases registered against these looters in other police station limits.
