Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Following an attack on hostel inmates by non-students on Sunday, which has created an unrest situation in the college, the BJB autonomous college authority today declared sine die in the college and ordered the inmates to vacate the hostel.

Today, in the morning, protesting the attack, the college students staged a road blockade in front of the college and locked the college gate. They also blocked the Puri- Bhubaneswar road. Later, the protest started triggering the violation, following which, police lifted them from the road.

However, now the situation is under control. College authorities have discussed the matter with the students and are trying to resolve the issue, informed Rita Pati, Vice Principle, BJB autonomous college.

As per sources, inmates of Ambedkar Hostel were attacked by some non-students. This type of incident in the college has been increasing day by day and so the college students have resorted to protest and have alleged that, the college is not taking any step to curb down such activities.
