SOA scholar gets PhD in computer science and engineering

Bhubaneswar, April 11: Siksha O Anusandhan University scholar Kailash Shaw has been awarded doctoral degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the university for his thesis “Bio-inspired architecture for protein structure prediction” which deals with various bio-inspired computational algorithms to make the prediction.

Shaw was guided by Professor and Head of Department of CSE at SOA University Prof Debahuti Mishra .

His thesis drew praise from Prof PK Meher, Senior Research Scientist, School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Dr. Sunil B. Wankhade, Head of Department of CSE, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai who evaluated the same.

Shaw, son of Rekha Shaw and RN.Shaw, has expressed his gratitude to  Satya Prakash Panda and Manas Ranjan Panda, Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively of Gandhi Engineering College, Bhubaneswar as also Prof. Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of SOA University, Prof. Amit Banerjee, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P.K.Nanda, Dean (Research) and Dr. Manas Kumar Mallick, Director (Admission) of the University and Prof. P.K.Sahu, Dean of Institute of Technical Education and Research.
