Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: Palpitations aroused at the SOG Camp at Chandaka in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar when the residers of the camp staged demonstration over the death of one of their Jawan, Laxminarayan Pradhan during training. It’s said that he had become unconscious at the time of the training period and had last breathed when he was being taken to the Capital hospital here for treatment.
The death outraged the fellow inmates who went on staging demonstration specifying the fact that the deceased had lost his life for not been treated adequately while being unconscious. They also stated that the deceased was undergone training forcibly even after he had informed of being unwell.
IG of Operations, Soumendra Priyadarshi said on the contrary that the Jawan had not intimidated them about his ill-health prior to the training. He further added that compensation would be given as per the said norms.
