Bhubaneswar: Feb 06: Recently a solo painting exhibition is going on at Suvadra Art Gallery. The artist is Saswati Ray of Kolkata. A poor woman carrying her child peeps through one canvass. The other exhibits the harmony of geometrical triangles. But what Saswati emphasizes is the sumo art. This, as per the artist, is used in art therapy. The exhibition, her first one in Odisha, bears no title, so are the paintings. “My works talk with the viewers and They would decide what title should my paintings have” , reasons Saswati, who has previously held her exhibitions at USA and Kolkata. The VC of Culture University Kamal Kant Mishra, the inaugurator, praised the works. He said her paintings convey the perplexed state of human beings. The medium she has used are water colour, acrylic, pencil and crayons
