Bhubaneswar, June 13: Judhishtir Swain, owner of a car was beaten up by the locals of the Sashtri Nagar area on Sunday night because his high speed car ran over two persons sleeping on the pavement. Reports informed that this mishap occurred when Swain was coming from Brahmagiri and going towards Naharkanta through Sashtri Nagar, suddenly when his Indigo car (OD02 C 6670) strayed off the road and hit the two people sleeping by the roadside. The driver immediately fled off the spot after this terrible incident. Tension erupted in the area and the Locals’ ghearaod the car who ended up beating the owner as they were unable to catch hold off the driver. It is said that seeing the car some people managed to run off while two ended up getting injured as the vehicle hit them. On receiving the information, the Police immediately reached the spot and started investigation after the owner was withheld.
