SSLL’s GM murder case: police still to arrest the three main accused

Kendrapara, Nov 25: General Manager of Seaways Shipping and Logistic Limited (SSLL) had been murdered on October 26 and since then it has been one month and till now police has not arrested the three prime accused Managing director of Odisha Stevedore Limited (OSL) Mahamananda Mishra and three employees of OSL.

On November 17, Riyasat Hussain (30), Muhammad Samin (28), and Rakesh Chaubey (53) of Jharkhand had been arrested by the police and along with them Manoj Gochhayat (28) and Shiva (28) of Cuttack were also arrested.

Later, on November 18, Bapi Sarkhel, Congress leader got arrested by the police and seized some photographs of accused Sarkhel in which his wife, children and he were seen using OSL’s private plane.

Stating about the progress in the investigation, Gadhadhar Pradhan, additional superintendent of Paradip police informed that, the investigation process has been going on and the bank accounts and Rs 5 crore cash have been seized. Police is likely to seize OSL’s other properties located in Paradip, Cuttack and other places.
