Bhubaneswar: May 26: State Unit of BJP criticised CM’s review exercise, which has been started from yesterday as vague. BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said here today that, last year also Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had done the review of different state government departments, but what steps have been taken at the end.’ He added, ‘CM is not spelling out what exactly its future goals are?’

Alleging further Sharma said, state government has been committing since 2009 that Odisha will not depend on other states for food, but still we have been depending largely on other states’. ‘Regarding the construction of 10 lakh pucca houses, Chief Minister is misleading the people of the state, only 3.2 lakh houses have been constructed so far’, he said. Also, he criticised the government for misleading the people in the name of Potato Mission and Onion Mission.

Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik started review of performance of departments from May 25 as part of his exercise at the end of two years of his government. On May 25, he reviewed Housing & Urban Development Department, Skill Development and Technical Education Development. Today, he reviewed the works of Commerce and transport department, Rural Development department and Forest & Environment department.

The Chief Minister will review the work of Commerce and Transport, Rural Development and Forest and Environment departments on Thursday.
