State BJP unit party president visits Cuttack to review Jaundice conditions

Cuttack, Mar 1: As the Jaundice cases have risen to the number of 109 here, yesterday the delegation of the State BJP unit led by party president Basant Panda visited city to took stock of the situation. Panda blamed the ruling government for the delay in providing safe drinking water to the people in the affected areas and also asked for the reason of the delay from the government. He also said that the government should provide explanations for the recurrence of Jaundice and Malaria in the city.

The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) had a review meeting to discuss the measures taken to curb further spread of jaundice. He stated that the repair of drinking water pipelines in affected areas is going on and staff will also be assigned to clean the drains and conduct door-to-door surveys in the affected areas. Besides, the state government has also ordered realignment of water pipelines passing under the drains. All this was informed to the media by CMC Commissioner, Gyanaranjan Das.
