State Cabinet approved KSSY scheme and 14 other proposal

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: Kalinga Siksha Sathi Yojona scheme, to facilitate 1% interest loan to students for higher education, has been accorded in-principle by the State Cabinet today.

After the cabinet meeting, in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said that, whose parent’s annual income is Rs 6 lakh and below, would be able to avail the loan.

Meanwhile, 14 proposals, including amendments to Odisha Gram Panchayat Act, 1964, Odisha Prosecution Service Rules and Odisha Electricity (Duty) Act, 1961 and establishment of Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation (OMEC), has been approved by the State Cabinet.
