Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: An important meeting of the State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will be held at the Secretariat here today.
Seven proposals moved by different departments are likely to get State Cabinet nod today.
Besides, the meeting is also likely to discuss the Implementation of the Odisha Official Language Act 1954 at the official level.
Previously, the Cabinet had proclaimed the enactment of amending the Odisha Official Language Act of 1954.
The State government had also earlier announced the use of Odia as official language from August 15-Independence Day.
