STF seizes Leopard Skins in Odisha, 2 arrested

Bhubaneswar: February 15:  The Special Tax Force seized tiger skins at Palaspada junction in the Sinapali block of Nuapada District. Two suspects were arrested at the scene, according to a press release from the Special Tax Force, which confiscated tiger skins and other items.

The arrested persons are Suberban Singh Deo, resident of Khariar and Saman Singh Majhi, of Sinapali.

A case has been registered under Section 379/411 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act.

The seized tiger skin has been sent to the Indian Wildlife Research Institute for testing.
