Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: In a bid to attract national and international tourists, Sudarsan Pattnaik’s sand art is being exhibited by Odisha Tourism at the waiting area of Biju Patnaik International Airport here since March 5 as part of the celebrations of the birth Centenary of legendary Odisha leader Biju Patnaik.
It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Expressing pleasure over the initiative, the Padma Shri award winning sculptor said, “This is the first initiative of its kind in the country. I would like to thank Odisha Tourism,for giving me an opportunity to showcase this art.”
“Now tourists can see my sand sculptures inside the airport. It would be changed every 15 days and highlight different themes throughout the year,” Sudarsan said.
