Umerkote, Sept 2: On Thursday near Umerkote Community Health Center in Nabarangpur district a woman named as Manmati Bhatra belonging to the Borogan village under Umerkote block allegedly is said to have committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree.
It’s stated that on Aug 24, Manmati had made her son, who was suffering from intense malnutrition, admit to the Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in Umerkote CHC. While her child was undergoing treatment at the Center, she went out of the hospital saying that she has some work, by telling one of her relative to take care of her son yesterday morning. Later, her body was found hanging from a Teak near the hospital. Reason behind the suicide is yet to be investigated.
