Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Oct 19: In connection to Sum Hospital fire mishap, the Commissionerate police on Tuesday arrested Sum Hospital superintendent Pusparaj Samantasinghar, ex-Executive engineer Amulyakumar Sahu, Fire Safety Officer of the hospital Santosh Das and Malaya Kumar Sahu who was working at the electrical maintenance department of Sum Hospital, based on an FIR filed by Fire Services Department.
However, among them, arrested superintendent Samantasinghar has been hospitalized at SCB medical college and hospital on Tuesday night due to a reported cardiac problem.
It may be noted that, based on charges of negligence, an FIR had been filed against Sum Hospital authorities by the Fire Service Wing of Odisha at Khandagiri Police station. Besides, due to delinquency of duty, management and shifting of patients, another FIR has been filed by DMET Joint Director.
