Sundergarh BJD cries to get a seat in the state cabinet: Activists protest demanding same

Bhubaneswar, May 8: Just two hours after the newly elected candidates of the state BJD cabinet took oath at the ceremony in Raj Bhawan, early yesterday, loud cries were heard from the Sundergarh BJD activists, who have protested with the threat of mass resignation for there is no representative of their district in the new Cabinet. Expressing severe disappointment, they alleged that having no representative will make the party weak and lessen welfare activities in the district. Lalatendu Parida, BJD’s Sundergarh secretary (organisation) said to media. Party veteran and former minister Mangala Kishan of Sundergarh also voiced the same. However, he has requested the party workers to continue somehow. persuade the defiant workers to continue with the party and not resign.
