Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: After the approval of Governor SC Jamir on Wednesday, a formal notification was issued which mentions that Sunil Mishra, Retired director general of income tax in Karnataka and Goa has been appointed for the post of Odisha’s Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) which was vacant since last two years.
It may be noted that Sunil Mishra was reportedly selected for the post in the selection committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on October 6, where Bikram Arukha, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Narasingh Mishra, Opposition leader were also present.
In the meeting, UN Behera, additional chief secretary in Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and SK Panda, Retired chief secretary of Odisha were also taken into consideration for this post.
