Bhubaneswar, Oct 20: Protesting the arrest of Manoj Nayak, owner of Sum hospital this morning, several of his supporters staged demonstration in front of the Khandagiri police station.
As per sources, the media persons present at the spot covering the incident were also scolded by the protestors.
After receiving the information, Saytabrata Bhoi Bhubaneswar DCP rushed to the spot.
Notably, Nayak is currently under police interrogation. DGP KB Singh informed the media that after Nayak himself surrendered before the Khandagiri police, he was taken into custody. He will be forwarded to the court once the interrogation gets completed. He further added that police will take him on remand for further enquiry.
