Angul, Jan 6: Making obscene comments has put a teacher into trouble and it so happened that the teacher had to apologize for his remarks by kneeling down. The incident happened today at Patakamunda in Angul.
In December, a teacher of the Patakamunda High School had made some obscene comments to a girl student. Later after the girl informed about this to her parents the allegation came against the teacher. Then the village chief and school management committee had a meeting in the village and the teacher accepting his fault apologized for the same and wrote a dismissal letter all by himself as demanded by the villagers.
Necessary action against the teacher will be taken, informed Angul Collector. He also said that, action against the villagers can also be taken if the teacher files any complaint against them on charges of taking law in their hands.
After the incident came to notice yesterday, to investigate the matter, the District Education Office (DEO) appointed the Block Education Officer (BEO). Required steps will be taken after the report is submitted by the BEO. Villagers cannot take law in their hands, Srinibas Behera, additional collector of Angul informed.
However, the teacher’s comments into the matter could not be obtained.
