Temperature to come down soon in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 22: Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Odisha. Heat wave condition prevailed over some parts of south interior Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms are Champua (dist Keonjhargarh), Tiring (dist Mayurbhanj). Maximum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were above normal over south Odisha and normal over north Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 45.0C was recorded at Bolangir, Bhawanipatna and Titlagarh and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.

Having a partly cloudy sky and rainfall of 0.2 mm likely to occur, Odisha is likely to experience a maximum and minimum temperature of 38 and 27 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday.

The maximum and minimum relative humidity is to be 89% and 42% respectively.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, rains with thundersquall and gusty surface to occur in districts like Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Kendrapada, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi. Wind speed to be 50-60 kmph. Weather to be dry over res of Odisha with heat wave condition in Bolangir, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Khurda, Angul, Cuttack and Bhadrak. Thus, the farmers even should be alert on Tuesday.

On Friday and Saturday, rains with thundersquall with a gusty surface wind of speed 50-60 kmph to occur in Coastal Odisha and in few places in Interior Odisha.

For the fishermen, strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast. Hence, fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
