Cuttack: October 05: Residents of two neighboring streets of Cuttack attack on each other over certain issue today. As known, residents of Sarvodayapur and Sweeper Colony of Rajabagicha area indulged in a verbal altercation over an issue that transpired during the idol immersion ceremony of Goddess Durga. Today two groups hurled glass bottles and stones on each other.
Police rushed to the spot immediately, but the irate mob hurled bottles and pelted stones at the Police personnel injuring police officials. City Police Commissioner and DCP rushed to the spot to take a view of the situation.
As many as 25 persons from both the groups have been detained by the police, sources added.
