Thousands poor and needy treated in Mega Free Health Camp at Dhamra

Dhamra, Feb 28: More than 4000 patients treated by 50 renowned specialists of 15 departments Villages around Dhamra in Odisha are geographically remote, and not properly accessible for government service. In order to reach to the people with quality health services and to bring about basic health awareness of the people living in this area, Adani Dhamra Port With collaboration of Chitagyani Charitable trust, organized a two day free mega health camp at Dhamra Fishing harbour premises which concludes on 26th February 2017. This Health Camp is one such special initiative of Adani Foundation to provide healthcare services to meet the immediate health care needs of the marginalized community in remote rural areas.

Over 50 specialist doctors from 15 departments attended the mega health camp and provided heath check-ups. Mr Dillip Kumar Dash, SP Bhadrak formally inaugurated the second day of this health camp. Prof Dr DatteswarHota,member of Chittagyani Charitable Trust and Mr Subrat Tripathy, Chief Executive Officer, Dhamra Port were also present during the occasion.

“This is our 27th health camp here at Dhamra Port and we are happy to organize such huge health camp in this remote area” said by Mr Datteswar Hota, Member, Chittagyani Charitable Trust.

More than 4000 villagers of port periphery villagesgot their health check-up in this camp and free medicines were also provided to them. Many specialists and doctors from Cuttack, Burla and Berhampur medical colleges attended this mega health camp and provided health care facilities by using modern technique including ECG, PFT, X-ray, and Blood Test to the villagers. Gynecologist, Urine & Kidney Specialists, Orthopedics, Pediatric Specialists, Medicines, Heart etc. were present in the health camp.

Prior to this free mega health camp, Adani Foundation conducted various awareness programmes like distribution of leaflets, posters and announcements in the port periphery to aware locals about the free health camp. Logistics facilities were also provided by Adani Foundation to the villagers to avail health care facilities provided at this health camp. The villagers extended their gratitude to the Port Company by organizing such huge health camp. Adani Foundation ensures that health camps will be organised at regular intervals in these villages.

Dash,  Dr. Sidharth Mishra, Dr. R K Mohapatra, Skin Specialists Dr. Prasanjit Mohanty, Cardiologist Dr. Satya Routray, Dr. Pradipt Nayak, Dr. Biswajit Dash, Dr. Ram Narayan Mohanty, Gynaecologist& Obstetrician Dr. Janmejay Mohapatra, Dr. Lucy Dash, Dr. Debashis Behera, Eye Specialist Shidharth Dash, Dr. Sujata Pujari, Pediatric Dr. Lingaraj Pradhan, Dr. N. P. Modi, Dr. Arakhita Swain, ENT specialists Dr. Subrat Behera, Dentist Dr. Prasanna Nanda, Dr. Sarangadhar Sahoo, Neurologist Dr Anup Mohapatra, Gastrologist Dr. Prasant Patra etc. provided health check-ups.
