Bhubaneswar, Dec 1: Security has been tightened in the state capital especially in and around the Odisha Assembly for the Winter Session beginning from December 1 with deployment of 35 platoons of police force. Informing newsmen about the security arrangements here, Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania said that six officers of deputy commandant and additional SP rank, 10 Assistant Commandants, 80 police officers have been deployed. A three-tier security will be placed in and around the State Assembly with deployment of 35 platoons of police force. Mobile patrolling team and the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) will also be kept ready for any eventuality. Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi has been given the task to ensure full-proof security for the Assembly during the winter session. DGP KB Singh and Director (Intelligence) Sunil Roy yesterday visited the premises of the State Assembly to review the security arrangements. Notably, the winter Assembly session starting from today will conclude on December 30.
