Bhubaneswar: May 01: The total number of Coronavirus cases in India jumped to 35, 365 on Friday as the death toll touched 1152 in the country, according to the Health Ministry.
In last 24 hours, 1993 cases have been recorded.
9064 cases have recovered from the disease and at present, 25,148 active cases are there in the country.
Maharashtra continues to be worst affected state with 10,498 COVID-19 cases, followed by Gujarat (4395), Delhi (3515), Madhya Pradesh (2719), Rajasthan (2584) and Uttar Pradesh (2281).
Among the Southern States, Tamilnadu has 2323 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh (1463) and Telengana with 1039 cases.
Maharashtra saw the highest single-day jump in the number of COVID-19 cases with 1008 persons testing positive.
