Tussle among Congress members on the all-party meet over Mahanadi Issue

Bhubaneswar, Aug 6: Yesterday, a word war cropped up between senior leader, Niranjan Patnaik and Tara Prasad Bahinipati. Hardly had the intra-party Congress conflict over the absence of PCC President, Parasad Harichandan in the all-party meet which was chaired by leader of the same, Narsingha Mishra over the pertaining Mahanadi issue cooled down that another scuffle emerged.

To counter Patnaik’s statement on the all-party meet, Opposition Chief, Tara Prasad Bahinipati without uttering Patnaik’s name rebuked him thus urging him not to make such refuting remarks related to the party’s interest in future. It’s revealed that the former PCC President had termed leaders opposing the meeting as ‘traitors’.  

Party legislator Prafulla Majhi also a member in the meeting made no comment on the contradictory remarks of the leaders terming it as ‘personal views’. Asked whether the all-party meet had not been signaled green by the AICC prompting, to which Prasad refused to discuss thus commenting on the matter as ‘irrelevant’.
