Rayagada, Feb 29: Two persons belonging to Dongaria tribe were abducted from the Niyamgiri area early Sunday,
The two abducted persons have been identified as Shyama Sikaka of Dangamati village and Ludu Wadeka of Khamesi.
The sources said though it’s yet to be confirmed who was behind the incident, the involvement of Maoists is not ruled out.
The abduction occurs barely two days after an encounter between security forces and Maoists in which two red rebel cadre were killed and huge quantity of arms and ammunition seized in Niyamgiri area.
