Unavailability of ambulance leads to man carrying daughter’s corpse on Bike in Koksara, Odisha

Kalahandi, Oct 9: Recently the Odisha government had announced new guidelines regarding transportation of died bodies from hospital but when it was seen that a person named Dayanidhi carried his daughter’s dead body on a motor bike, this vision has shown that the clear violation of the newly announced guideline. The incident happened at Community Health Centre at Koksara in Kalahandi.

As per the information, the deceased named Rima (10) had taken to a quack after she developed fever but as the condition started to deteriorate she was taken to the Community Health Centre by 108 ambulance. On reaching there the doctors announced her dead. On finding no hearse or ambulance, Dayanidhi took the dead body on a relative’s bike pillion riding to his village.
