Bhubaneswar: May 20: Mardala Academy of Bhubaneswar held its 15th Edition of Talavadya Utsav on May 19 at Rabindra Mandap. On this occasion, Talavadya Samman was conferred to prominent Odishi Singer Shymamani Devi and also Vocal Artist Rasananda Rath, Tabla Artist Sunakar Sahoo & Khola Artist Jateswar Parida were honoured by the Mardala Academy. City audiences enjoyed the performance of students of Mardala Academy besides performance of Violin player Ramesh Chandra Dash and noted Tabla player Praveen Upadhyay of Banaras.
Minister of Tourism and Culture Ashok Chandra Panda was the Chief Guest of the evening whereas KBK Chief Administrator Ashok Kumar Tripathy witnessed the occasion as Guest of Honour. President of the Academy Guru Banamali Maharana, noted Mardala Player presided over the meeting.
