Mumbai, Apr 15: After releasing on Friday, the women centric film,” Begum Jaan” staring Vidya Balan in the lead has shown an average response by making a collection of Rs.3.94 crore on day one. The movie, which is said to be a remake of Srijit Mukherji’s bengali film “Rajkahini”, focuses on the crisis period of post Independence in India, where Vidya Balan plays the role of a Brothel’s madame.
Being a low budget movie, seems the movie will make a good recovery as satellite rights, overseas and various others have given a good revenue.
