Keonjhar, Oct 25: In a case of allegedly accumulating disproportionate assets, Jay Krushna Tripathy, Ex-senior surgery specialist of Keonjhar district headquarter (DHH) has been arrested by the Vigilance sleuths on Monday.
As per the information, properties worth Rs 1, 36, 96,000 have been recovered that are registered in the name of Tripathy.
According to sources, a case against both Tripathy and his wife was registered earlier. However, as the High Court has granted anticipatory bail to his wife, only Tripathy has been taken into custody.
At CDA in Cuttack and Keonjhar, two three-storey buildings have been found in Tripathy’s name.
It may be noted that on 17th December 2014, Vigilance officials had caught Tripathy red-handed while accepting bribe.
