Vigilance raid on BMC Staffer’s House

Bhubaneswar: May 13: Anti-corruption wing of Odisha Vigilance today conducted simultaneous raids at four places in Bhubaneswar belonging to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) employee Golak Pradhan on charges of accumulating properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. Raid were conducted on at his residence,  a Kalyana Mandap of Pradhan located in Sundarapada area, his house at Aerobanka and a shopping complex belonging to him.

Officials have been scrutinising some documents like insurance policies and several bank passbooks of Pradhan and his family members. Sources said, Sleuths also seized Rs.2 lakhs in cash and around 500 grams of gold jewellery from his house. It is said, the estimated value of the properties of Pradhan will be around 2 crore.
