Bhubaneswar, July 30: On the third day of protest against garbage dumping at the Daruthenga village, the villagers on Saturday blocked the roads by placing logs. The protest has disrupted the dumping of garbage, sources informed.

During the waste dumping, around 300-400 villagers had clashed with the Police on Friday, by pelting stones at the policemen and injuring them. The mob was dispersed by the use of tear gas shells and firing of rubber bullets by the police. During this retaliatory action by the police, 12 villagers were injured. Even within tight security, 132 trips of garbage had been dumped yesterday.
