Baripada: In a shocking incident, a woman was detained allegedly for stealing two new born babies from Baripada DHH late on Saturday night in Mayurbhanj district. The Baripada town police detained the woman and is enquiring the matter.
The shocking incident of the new born stealing occurred in the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The woman was a resident of Jhinkiria village under Rasagobindpur in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused woman reportedly stole the two new borns of Sheikh Kamaruddin of Sungadia area when the she was caught by the locals. They then handed over the accused to the police.
According to information, Sheikh Kamaruddin’s wife had given birth to two babies but was admitted in the hospital for anemia.
