Women bonded labourers of Odisha rescued

Bhubaneswar, Dec 5; Five minor girls from Odisha who were kept as bonded labourers have been rescued from a textile mill at Coimbatore.

A police team from Odisha, leading to a complaint from a woman in Kandhamal, that her daughter was brought here and kept as a bonded labourer at a mill near Sulur, reached here.

Odisha police with help of the local police searched the mill at Pallapalayam day before yesterday and found five girls below the age of 14, who were allegedly working there as bonded labourers.

Earlier yesterday, the rescued girls were taken to their native village, said sources
