Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: Under the ‘Yaad Karo Kurbani’ programme organized by the BJP to give tribute to freedom fighters all over the country, two Union Ministers, Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram visited Sambalpur and Consumer Affairs Minister Chhotu Ram Chaudhary visited Dhenkanal in Odisha on Wednesday.
To pay tribute to freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai, Minister Oram visited Khinda village in Sambalpur and was accompanied by senior leader Suresh Pujari. A rally was organised for their visit in the village.
On the other hand, Minister Chaudhary visted Nilakanthapur village in Bhuban block of Dhenkanal , birth place of Baji Rout, and paid his tributes. A bike rally had been organised by the members of the BJP from Baji Chouk to Bhuban. Party leader Rudrapani and Dhenkanal district unit president were also present in the occasion.
Notably, Manoj Sinha, Union Telecommunications Minister would visit Harachandi Sahi at Puri on August 20, which is the birth place of Chandan Hajuri, also known as Chakhi Khuntia.
