Patna: May 02: Police arrested a youth for attempting to fling his chappal towards Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Sources said, Nitish Kumar was meeting the people and listening to their grievances at ‘Janata Ke Darbar Mein Mukhya Mantri’ programme. The accused, a resident of Arwal district entered by the name of Nitish Kumar and handover his request. As he bent down to take off his chappal, he was immediately caught by security men.
The grievance of the youth was not very clear but officials said he was apparently angry over the state government’s recent advisory against use of fire for cooking and hawan etc between 9 AM to 6 PM to curb increasing incidents of fire.
