Bhubaneswar, Sept 15: On the occasion of Biju birth centenary and 80th year completion of forming the Orissa State, 1,100 check dams has been dedicated by the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik on Thursday to the farmers of the state which would benefit them in increasing their yield. He dedicated these dams during a state level function held at the State Secretariat’s conference room besides the Rural Development department at the Secretariat through video conference. It’s stated that the Water Resources department has constructed these check dams.
