In the Air India flight that arrived in Amritsar on Thursday, 125 passengers have been found corona infected in Amritsar Flight. A total of 179 passengers were on board the flight. The flight had come from Italy to Amritsar International Airport in Punjab.
This is the first time that such a large number of corona infected have been found in a flight.
The passengers tested positive after they arrived in Amritsar, VK Seth, Airport Director, said.
The passengers will be quarantined, said officials. It is not clear if that means home isolation or institutional quarantine.
