Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Telefilms artiste Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja (38) died in the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Sunday following a road accident he met on Saturday evening.
According to reports, Raja was returning home in Bhubaneswar after attending a programme in Balasore when the accident occurred near Bhadrak. He was soon rushed to the Bhadrak hospital where doctors referred him to the SCB where he died.
However, his families reached the hospital on Sunday and found Raja dead. As they were unable to know exact reason of Raja’s death from his accompaniers, the family members alleged that he has been murdered and demanded a proper investigation. After post-mortem, family members took the body to his native village Badadandasahi at Badamba in Cuttack district.
A host of cine stars, political leaders, intellectuals joined the procession.
