Bhubaneswar: August 01: Odisha reported 1437 fresh cases in last 24 hours. 832 of the fresh cases were in quarantine and rest 605 are local contact cases.
As the data shows, 74,735 swab tests have been done in last 24 hours and 1437 samples tested positive. With this, the daily positivity rate declines further to 1.92 percent. After, a long gap, it finally came down below 2 per cent.
Yesterday,1899 patients have recovered from the disease and total recovered cases number reached 9,56,828 whereas 9,78,705 Covid Positive cases have been detected since the beginning of the pandemic.
Active cases decline further to 15,858.
Khurda district recorded 409 fresh cases, followed by Cuttack 190 cases and Puri 146 cases.
47 fresh cases were found from Angul district, 64 from Balasore, 6 from Bargarh, 47 from Bhadrak, 4 from Balangir, 2 from Boudh, 8 from Deogarh, 21 from Dhenkanal, 3 from Gajapati, 10 from Ganjam, 86 from Jagatsinghpur, 66 from Jajpur, 5 from Jharsuguda, 6 from Kalahandi, 14 from Kandhamal, 41 from Kendrapara, 19 from Keonjhar, 5 from Korapur, 7 from Malkangiri, 40 from Mayurbhanj, 2 from Nawarangpur, 36 from Nayagarh, 11 from Rayagada, 16 from Sambalpur, 13 from Sonepur, 29 from Sundergarh and also 82 cases detected from State Pool.
