2 Criminals injured in Encounter
Today morning, 2 hardcore criminals, accused in a murder case, sustained critical injuries during an encounter by police at Bisra locality in Rourkela.
The injured criminals have been identified as Mushtaq Alam and MD Guddu and they were involved in 2020 murder case of Jitendra Sai at Railway Colony under Plantside Police Station in Rourkela
Sources said, getting some information regarding the presence of Mustak, the accused of Jitendra Sai murder case, a special Police team rushed to the spot and conducted a raid.
Seeing Police, Mustak opened fire on the Police Team and Police Team retaliated. Mustak & his associate Md Guddu sustained injuries in Police Firing. They were taken to Rourkela Government Hospital in critical condition and from there, to Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela.
Rourkela Police have already arrested six persons on charges of killing Jitendra Sai at an area under Plantside police limits on September 11 last year.
