Two children drowned and there were rescued from the Arabian Sea near Worli on Friday evening, informed BMC Disaster Control. This has happened at about 3.30 pm while children were playing near the sea in Worli Koliwada region.
Local fishermen rescued all five kids from water before the Mumbai Fire Brigade crew arrived on the spot. KEM Hospital pronounced the deaths of two victims, identified as 8-year-old Kartik Choudhary and 12-year-old Savita Pal. Rest three children are being treated in different hospitals in Mumbai.
The local police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy
