Heavy rains lashed coastal Odisha and disrupted normal life in various parts of the State. Two elderly persons were killed due to wall collapse in Odisha’s Kendrapada district today.
One of the deceased have been identified as Abhay Mohapatra of Badabetara village under Garadpur block and a woman of Dhisahi village under Derabis block also died due to wall collapse. Her name is Namrata Prusty.

Heavy to very Heavy rainfall and in some parts of State Extremely heavy downpour disturbed human normal life. People are suffering due to waterlogging, damage of houses & roads and all.
Moderate rain/ thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of Odisha with Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall at many places & Extremely Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Coastal state and Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Interior State.
