Bargarh, Dec 19: In a tragic road mishap 3 people died on spot when a car they were traveling hit a roadside tree on Padmapur-Bijepur road early yesterday evening.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Balaram Sethi, Mahendra Khatua and Anants Behera hailing from Bhubaneswar, while the injures identified as Abhijit Das of Bhubaneswar and Maina of Cuttack, were returning from Nrusinghanath after having a picnic when the accident took place at around 7pm.
The youths had visited the Nrusinghanath Shrine for a picnic and while returning the car lost balance and hit the tree. On being informed the Melchhamunda police rushed to the spot and with the help of locals rescued the injured and bodies of the dead. The injured sustaining critical injuries were admitted to the Sub Divisional headquarters hospital at Padmapur.
A detail investigation is on by the Melchhmunda Police station.
